October 19. 2020 FPRW PROUD MEMBERS OF TIMMINS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

WHY WE BECAME MEMBERS?
By joining the Timmins Chamber, we add our voice to the strongest business lobby group in Timmins.
Becoming a member of the Timmins Chamber of Commerce helps us in countless ways and connects us to a network of more than 650 businesses in the region.
By joining we will make a difference on the issues that matter to our organization by using the strength of the Chamber network. The Chamber is dedicated to improving the business climate in Timmins, which is about working to bring change not only locally but also within the province and throughout Canada.

The Chamber will give the knowledge and skills we need to stay ahead of the curve and do business better. Tap into a wide range of best practices and professional development opportunities you won’t find anywhere else in Timmins thanks to a wide variety of Chamber events, programs, seminars, information sessions and eLearning modules. The Chamber will also help us to stay connected to what’s happening in the world of business with timely and relevant information that matters. This is a win-win membership for our organization, we look forward to what the future will bring.

LITTLE WARRIOR CHALLENGE

August 2, 2020

The Friends of the Porcupine River Watershed’s ‘Litter Warrior Challenge’ is now over and we would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped us clean up the community during the last 2 months…even during physical distancing guidelines!
RESULTS: Over 32 participants and over 55 large garbage bags picked up (along with scrap metal brought for recycling) and trips to the landfill (thanks Tim!)
Thank you to our sponsors: Tim Horton South Porcupine, Ryeway Designs by Sarah, James Toyota.
Draw: We have 8 small ‘thank you’ gift bags and we will be drawing names during our next FPRW meeting on Wednesday, August 5.
Additionally, over the summer, we were made aware of many piles of large items illegally dumped in the community and forest (tires, furniture, etc). They were reported to the proper authority and got picked up by City of Timmins, Newmont, MNRF, etc.
Thank you to everyone involved!
Have a great long weekend!
Roxane Filion FPRW
